2026 King Charles III 'Yellow Gold' Proof and Reverse frosted Sovereign 2 coin Set

The Royal Mint 2026 two-coin reverse frosted Sovereign set is limited to just 300 sets and was sold by invitation only as an exclusive issue, not listed on the Royal Mint website. The set comprises one Sovereign struck in the standard proof finish and one struck in reverse proof (reverse frosted) finish.
The new issues return to traditional yellow gold, replacing the recent red gold versions, and feature the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The reverse showcases the classic Benedetto Pistrucci St George and the Dragon design.
The King Charles III Sovereign carries the obverse legend “CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · FID · DEF”, which in Latin translates to “King Charles III, by the Grace of God, King, Defender of the Faith.”
