Celebrating 500 years of the Crown, this remarkable commemorative gold coin pays tribute to one of Britain's most historic denominations. Inspired by the original 1526 Crown, Timothy Noad's elegant design combines numismatic heritage with the modern monarchy, incorporating the cyphers of both His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen.
Struck in yellow gold to reflect the appearance of the original sixteenth-century coins, this official Royal Mint release features a unique obverse with five Tudor roses, each representing a century since the first Crown was issued. A fitting tribute to five centuries of British coinage, produced exclusively by the mint that struck the very first Crown in 1526.
