The obverse of each coin features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, uniting mother and son. Each coin in our Portraits of a Queen Collection is dated 2026, marking the centenary of Elizabeth II’s birth.
This is the fourth release in a collection celebrating the five definitive coinage portraits of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse, remastered by Gordon Summers, Chief Engraver at The Royal Mint, features finely engraved radial lines designed to catch and reflect the light. The coin is presented in bespoke packaging that tells the story behind Ian Rank-Broadley’s acclaimed portrait, introduced in 1998 and renowned for its dignified, realistic depiction of the Queen.
