The RRS (Royal Research Ship) Discovery is a British wooden three-masted barque launched in 1901, purpose-built for Antarctic research. It was designed for Captain Robert Falcon Scott’s first expedition to the Antarctic (the Discovery Expedition, 1901–1904), which aimed to conduct scientific studies and geographical exploration.
