Celebrating one of aviation’s greatest achievements, this commemorative coin marks the 50th anniversary of Concorde’s first commercial flight, honouring an aircraft that transformed long-distance travel and became a lasting symbol of speed, innovation, and prestige.

Designed by Osborne Ross, the reverse features a dynamic supersonic depiction of Concorde in flight. A clever split-flap departure board motif forms the centrepiece of the design, with the aircraft’s iconic name displayed boldly across the middle, evoking the golden age of international air travel.

Produced in partnership with British Airways and Airbus, the coin is presented in packaging that traces Concorde’s remarkable journey from its creation through to its retirement in 2003, making it a fitting tribute to a true aviation legend.
