Released to celebrate HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s (1921 - 2021) life and legacy of a remarkable man. The reverse designed by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS was personally approved by The Duke of Edinburgh in 2008. Ian Rank-Broadley was also the designer of the previous (4th Obverse) portrait of HM the Queen which appeared on all British coins between 1998-2015. This memorial coin is available in a number of different versions with this being the Five Pound (£5) Crown 22.6 Carat Gold Denomination £5 and limited to just 500 pieces in this presentation..
