2021 Queen Elizabeth II 'Gold Standard' 1/4 - 1.oz Ounce 999.9 Gold Proof Coins.
The Royal Mint have celebrated the 200th anniversary of the introduction of the 'Gold Standard' with a wonderfully designed proof gold coin. A report by Sir Isaac Newton’s in 1717 that would become law in 1821, established the relationship between bimetal, gold coins and silver coins that would remain in operation until the outbreak of the First World War when financial pressures drove gold out of circulation. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Winston Churchill, returned Britain to a gold standard in 1925 but its restoration was short-lived. Gripped by an economic crisis, Britain abandoned it altogether in 1931.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was first published in 1865, by author Lewis Carroll. The story tells of Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a subterranean fantasy world, where she meets an array of wonderful characters such as, The Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, Mock turtle and many more. Lets not forget the famous 'The Mad Tea Party'. This is the first coin in a new Royal Mint series 'Treasury of Tales' which will be followed up with the release of Tweedledum and Tweedledee characters from Lewis Carroll's 1871 book Through the Looking-Glass.

Sir Walter Scott, 1st Baronet FRSE FSAScot (15 August 1771 – 21 September 1832), was a Scottish historical novelist, poet, playwright, and historian. This is the first time Sir Walter Scott has been commemorated on a UK coin. Celebrated as a visionary practitioner of the historical novel and one of literature’s most seminal writers. 2021 Music Legends 'The Who' PREMIUM RANGE Two Ounce / Five Ounce 999.9 Gold Proof Coins
The initial release did not include the larger premium range coins 2oz / 5oz versions. The premium range coins feature a shock wave effect on the reverse not seen in the standard coins. We have just one 2oz (£200) and one 5oz (£500) Gold Proof coins available. The 2oz edition is limited to just 160 pieces, and sold out very quickly by the Royal Mint upon release last week. The fantastic 5oz was not made available to the general public, but we are able to offer just one of the 64 struck.

2020 Music Legends 'David Bowie' ONE KILO 999.9 Gold Proof Coin
We have been able to secure just one piece of the highly sought after and 'sold out' David Bowie 'One Kilo' gold proof version. One of just 11 struck for worldwide distribution. The 1 Kilo version was originally due to be released on Bowie's birthday 8th January following on from the hugely successful and also sold out 1oz version. COVID delays meant the official release date became 23rd January 2021. The 2oz and above denominations design differs slightly from the previously issued coins, the lightning bolt appears laced with stardust to create a glitter effect.

2020 The Great Engravers 'William Wyon' The Three Graces Ten Ounce Silver Piedfort Proof : Cert No 008
Following on from the release last month of the latest in the Great Engravers series, William Wyon's masterpiece 'The Three Graces' all sold out at the Royal Mint within minutes. This special 10oz (Ten Ounce) Silver Piedfort edition, limited to just 175 pieces was not available to the general public. The Royal Mint sold these to individuals on an invitation basis only, and as you would expect all coins were snapped up very quickly. This was an extremely difficult coin for us to source so you won't be surprised to hear we have just one available, it is also a very low numbered certificate, this is coin #008.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 95th birthday on 21st April 2021, she will become the first reigning monarch to reach the landmark. To mark this momentous occasion the Royal Mint have commissioned a new series of coins. The Timothy Noad designed reverse features an elegant floral arrangement with the legend '1926 - 2021 - We My Heart and Devotion' a reference to the Christmas Speech made by Her Majesty in 1957, the first to be televised and shown on Christmas Day starting a tradition which continues to this day. The gold editions in the series range from the massive 1 kilo coin of which only 15 have been struck, as well as 5oz (issue 150), 2oz (issue 200), £5 piece (655) and quarter once proof versions with just 950 being issued.
2020 The Great Engravers 'William Wyon' The Three Graces!
The long awaited and most anticipated coins of the year, and part of the great engravers collection from the Royal Mint, 'The Three Graces' Gold and Silver Proof coins. Released on 22nd February 2021 at 9am, every single version from the 3500 stuck 2oz silver to the 5oz gold offering sold out almost instantly with none left at all within a couple of minutes. Many potential purchases were left empty handed and disappointed. The wonderful Three Graces coins partner the 2019 release of the first in the collection, that of Una and the Lion, another of William Wyon's masterpiece's, and as with the Three Graces immensely sought after. All coins in the collection now command prices up to ten times their original release prices.
2021 50th Anniv of Decimal Day Gold Proof 50p Coin (Strike on the Day)

The 10th and final coin in the series is, The griffin of Edward III Queen's Beast is an ancient mythical beast. It was considered a beneficent creature, signifying courage and strength combined with guardianship, vigilance, swiftness and keen vision. It was closely associated with Edward III who engraved it on his private seal. The shield shows the Round Tower of Windsor Castle (where Edward III was born) with the Royal Standard flying from the turret, enclosed by two branches of oak surmounted by the royal crown.

The 9th and penultimate coin in the series is the, The White Greyhound of Richmond was a badge of John of Gaunt, Earl of Richmond, son of Edward III. It was also used by Henry IV and by Henry VII. The Tudor double rose can be seen on the shield, one rose within another surmounted by a crown. It symbolises the union of two of the cadet houses of the Plantagenet - York and Lancaster.
