2024 King Charles III 'Buckingham Palace' £5 Crown Gold Proof + Boxed / COA

The Royal Mint in collaboration with Royal Collection Trust, have created these wonderfully designed coins to honour the rich history and heritage of Buckingham Palace.

Originally named as Buckingham House, and built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703, it was acquired by King George III in 1761 as a private residence for Queen Charlotte. The house was significantly extended in the early 19th century, and was adopted as the official London home of the monarch in 1837 upon Queen Victoria's accession to the throne. The coin features the facade of the palace which has become one of the most iconic buildings in the world.
