King George V Sovereigns Full Mint Type Set (7 Sovereigns)

Set Contains: 1 each of the following examples from all Mints which operated during the reign of King George V.

London Struck Sovereign (London has no mint mark),

Sydney Struck Sovereign, the letter 'S' denotes mint which opened in 1871.

Melbourne Mint with letter 'M' which opened its doors in 1872. 

Perth Mint' 'P' which started operating in 1899.

Canadian Mint 'C' example which started its operation in 1908. 

Indian Mint 'I' 1918  the only year the Bombay Mint was operational.

South African Mint 'SA' example which started its operation in 1924. 

King George V Sovereigns (Large Head) 1911-1928

Obverse: The King George V full gold sovereign, struck in 22ct gold, featuring the bust design by Bertram Mackennal, denoted by the initials 'B.M' in truncation. 

Reverse: Classic St George and the dragon reverse by Benedetto Pistrucci. The large head examples were struck for all years at various mints 1911-1928.

King George V (Small Head) Sovereigns 1929-1932

Obverse: The King George V full gold sovereign, struck in 22ct gold, featuring the 2nd small bust design by Bertram Mackennal, denoted by the initials 'B.M' in truncation.

Reverse: Classic St George and the dragon reverse by Benedetto Pistrucci. The small head examples were struck for all years 1929-1932, at the Melbourne, Perth and Pretoria Mints, none were produced in London, and the 1932 only exists from the South African mint.
