The latest coin in our Tower of London series celebrates the history and traditions of the Yeoman Warders, or ‘Beefeaters’, the royal protectors of the fortress since Tudor times.

Struck in 22 carat gold and finished to Proof standard, this beautiful coin depicts the Yeoman Gaoler standing proudly in the centre of the coin, ceremonial axe in hand. A special Tower of London mint mark features on this official United Kingdom coin series for the first time, while the edge bears the inscription ‘On into twilight within walls of stone’. Available in an extremely Limited Edition Presentation of 325, this highly collectable coin is presented in an official Royal Mint wooden case, with a booklet exploring the fascinating story of the Yeoman Warders.
